Under no circumstances shall Photo Album team be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, loss of data or profit, arising out of the use, or the inability to use, the materials on this site, even if Photo Album team or an authorized representative has been advised of the possibility of such damages. If your use of materials from this site results in the need for servicing, repair or correction of equipment or data, you assume any costs thereof. 

Photo Album will not be responsible for any outcome that may occur during the course of usage of our resources. We reserve the rights to change prices and revise the resources usage policy in any moment. 

License 

Photo Album grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install and use the app strictly in accordance with the terms of this Agreement. 

These Terms & Conditions are a contract between you and Photo Album (referred to in these Terms & Conditions as “Photo Album”, “us”, “we” or “our”), the provider of the Photo Album website and the services accessible from the Photo Album website (which are collectively referred to in these Terms & Conditions as the “Photo Album Service”). 

You are agreeing to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms & Conditions, please do not use the Photo Album Service. In these Terms & Conditions, “you” refers both to you as an individual and to the entity you represent. If you violate any of these Terms & Conditions, we reserve the right to cancel your account or block access to your account without notice.

Payment

If you register to any of our recurring payment plans, you agree to pay all fees or charges to your account for the Service in accordance with the fees, charges and billing terms in effect at the time that each fee or charge is due and payable. All payments, One-Time or Recurring are processed by App Store(Apple Inc.) and subjected to Terms and Conditions of App Store(Apple Inc.). 

You are responsible for any third-party fees that you may incur when using the Service.

Return and Refund Policy

Modifications to Our app 

Photo Album reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the app or any service to which it connects, with or without notice and without liability to you. 

Updates to Our app 

Photo Album may from time to time provide enhancements or improvements to the features/ functionality of the app, which may include patches, bug fixes, updates, upgrades and other modifications (“Updates”). 

Updates may modify or delete certain features and/or functionalities of the app. You agree that Photo Album has no obligation to (i) provide any Updates, or (ii) continue to provide or enable any particular features and/or functionalities of the app to you.

We may display, include or make available third-party content (including data, information, applications and other products services) or provide links to third-party websites or services (“Third- Party Services”). 

You acknowledge and agree that Photo Album shall not be responsible for any Third-Party Services, including their accuracy, 

completeness, timeliness, validity, copyright compliance, legality, decency, quality or any other aspect thereof. Photo Album does not assume and shall not have any liability or responsibility to you or any other person or entity for any Third-Party Services. 

Third-Party Services and links thereto are provided solely as a convenience to you and you access and use them entirely at your own risk and subject to such third parties’ terms and conditions. 

Term and Termination 

This Agreement shall remain in effect until terminated by you or Photo Album. 

Photo Album may, in its sole discretion, at any time and for any or no reason, suspend or terminate this Agreement with or without prior notice. 

This Agreement will terminate immediately, without prior notice from Photo Album, in the event that you fail to comply with any provision of this Agreement. You may also terminate this Agreement by deleting the app and all copies thereof from your computer. 

Upon termination of this Agreement, you shall cease all use of the app and delete all copies of the app from your computer. 

Termination of this Agreement will not limit any of Photo Album’s rights or remedies at law or in equity in case of breach by you (during the term of this Agreement) of any of your obligations under the present Agreement. 

Copyright Infringement Notice 

If you are a copyright owner or such owner’s agent and believe any material on our app constitutes an infringement on your copyright, please contact us setting forth the following information: (a) a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on his behalf; (b) identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing; (c) your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and an email; (d) a statement by you that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owners; and (e) the a statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner. 

Indemnification 

You agree to indemnify and hold Photo Album and its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, employees, agents, partners and licensors (if any) harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, due to or arising out of your: (a) use of the app; (b) violation of this Agreement or any law or regulation; or (c) violation of any right of a third party. 

No Warranties 

The app is provided to you “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” and with all faults and defects without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, Photo Album, on its own behalf and on behalf of its affiliates and its and their respective licensors and service providers, expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise, with respect to the app, including all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement, and warranties that may arise out of course of dealing, course of performance, usage or trade practice. Without limitation to the foregoing, Photo Album provides no warranty or undertaking, and makes no representation of any kind 

that the app will meet your requirements, achieve any intended results, be compatible or work with any other software, , systems or services, operate without interruption, meet any performance or reliability standards or be error free or that any errors or defects can or will be corrected. 

Without limiting the foregoing, neither Photo Album nor any Photo Album’s provider makes any representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied: (i) as to the operation or availability of the app, or the information, content, and materials or products included thereon; (ii) that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free; (iii) as to the accuracy, reliability, or currency of any information or content provided through the app; or (iv) that the app, its servers, the content, or e-mails sent from or on behalf of Photo Album are free of viruses, scripts, trojan horses, worms, malware, timebombs or other harmful components. 

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of or limitations on implied warranties or the limitations on the applicable statutory rights of a consumer, so some or all of the above exclusions and limitations may not apply to you. 

Limitation of Liability 

Notwithstanding any damages that you might incur, the entire liability of Photo Album and any of its suppliers under any provision of this Agreement and your exclusive remedy for all of the foregoing shall be limited to the amount actually paid by you for the app. 

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Photo Album or its suppliers be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages whatsoever (including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, for loss of data or other information, for business interruption, for personal injury, for loss of privacy arising out of or in any way related to the use of or inability to use the app, third-party software and/or third-party hardware used with the app, or otherwise in connection with any provision of this Agreement), even if Photo Album or any supplier has been advised of the possibility of such damages and even if the remedy fails of its essential purpose. 

Some states/jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. 

Severability 

If any provision of this Agreement is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. 

This Agreement, together with the Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published by Photo Album on the Services, shall constitute the entire agreement between you and Photo Album concerning the Services. If any provision of this Agreement is deemed invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Agreement, which shall remain in full force and effect. No waiver of any term of this Agreement shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term, and Photo Album.”’s” failure to assert any right or provision under this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. YOU AND Photo Album AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES MUST COMMENCE WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER THE CAUSE OF ACTION ACCRUES. OTHERWISE, SUCH CAUSE OF ACTION IS PERMANENTLY BARRED. 

Waiver 

Except as provided herein, the failure to exercise a right or to require performance of an obligation under this Agreement shall not effect a party’s ability to exercise such right or require such performance at any time thereafter nor shall be the waiver of a breach constitute waiver of any subsequent breach. or failure to exercise, and no delay in exercising, on the part of either party, any right or any power under this Agreement shall operate as a waiver of that right or power. Nor shall any single or partial exercise of any right or power under this Agreement preclude further exercise of that or any other right granted herein. In the event of a conflict between this Agreement and any applicable purchase or other terms, the terms of this Agreement shall govern. 

Amendments to this Agreement 

Photo Album reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace this Agreement at any time. If a revision is material we will provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. 

By continuing to access or use our app after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use Photo Album. 

Entire Agreement 

The Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Photo Album regarding your use of the app and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous written or oral agreements between you and Photo Album. 

You may be subject to additional terms and conditions that apply when you use or purchase other Photo Album’s services, which Photo Album will provide to you at the time of such use or purchase. 

Updates to Our Terms 

We may change our Service and policies, and we may need to make changes to these Terms so that they accurately reflect our Service and policies. Unless otherwise required by law, we will notify you (for example, through our Service) before we make changes to these Terms and give you an opportunity to review them before they go into effect. Then, if you continue to use the Service, you will be bound by the updated Terms. If you do not want to agree to these or any updated Terms, you can delete your account. 

Intellectual Property 

The app and its entire contents, features and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video and audio, and the design, selection and arrangement thereof), are owned by Photo Album, its licensors or other providers of such material and are protected by India and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws. The material may not be copied, modified, reproduced, downloaded or distributed in any way, in whole or in part, without the express prior written permission of Photo Album, unless and except as is expressly provided in these Terms & Conditions. Any unauthorized use of the material is prohibited. 

Submissions and Privacy 

In the event that you submit or post any ideas, creative suggestions, designs, photographs, information, advertisements, data or proposals, including ideas for new or improved products, services, features, technologies or promotions, you expressly agree that such submissions will automatically be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary and will become the sole property of Photo Album without any compensation or credit to you whatsoever. Photo Album and its affiliates shall have no obligations with respect to such submissions or posts and may use the ideas contained in such submissions or posts for any purposes in any medium in perpetuity, including, but not limited to, developing, manufacturing, and marketing products and services using such ideas. 

Typographical Errors

When user opts to use the third party service provided by App, use of third party services are subjected to the privacy policy and TOC of the respective service, and by agreeing to use the third party service, user agrees to TOC and Privacy Policy of the third party service. App(s) may provide the following third party services(Dropbox for Sync, iCloud for Sync, Aviary for Editing Photos, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Flickr for Sharing).

App may collect Anonymous Data***

Anonymous data is used for the purpose of  improvising App performance and maintenance.

App may collect Advertising Identifier to serve limited and personalised Ads with user’s permission.  Advertising Identifier may be used by a Ad serving third party across websites and Apps to serve personalised Ads.  Advertising Identifier may be collected only in the free version of App, upgrading to Pro version or using Paid version of the App does not collect Advertising Identifier.

How to sync photos across iDevices and your computer?

Syncing is done with App’s integration to Dropbox, needs Dropbox account and should use the same account to sync.

Follow these steps to export photos to Dropbox!

1. How to export(or backup) photos to Dropbox?

Just tap the Album from the App main screen, it will take you to thumbnail photos of the album, tap ‘Share Photos’ at the bottom of the screen.

From sharing screen  tap ‘Dropbox – Export’ button, this will launch photos picker, tap ‘Select photos’ and it will multi-select 75 photos at a time, if a photo has already been exported to Dropbox, it will skip that photo and multi-select the remaining photos.

Just tap ‘Export Photos’ from Dropbox screen in the App.During export, Album from the App will be created as folder in Dropbox.

Follow these steps to import photos  from Dropbox!

1. How to import folders from Dropbox?

If you want to keep your other device synced with photos exported to Dropbox, go to App Settings screen, and tap ‘Dropbox Folders Sync’, and from Dropbox screen tap ‘Import Folders’, this will create album in the App for each corresponding folder from Dropbox under Apps respective directory.

2. How to import(or restore) photos from Dropbox? 

Tap the Album from the App main screen, it will take you to thumbnail photos of the album, tap ‘Share Photos’ at the bottom of the screen. From the ‘Share Photos’  screen tap ‘Dropbox- Import’ to import photos.

Before it imports a photo from Dropbox, it will check to see, if it’s already been imported, and will only import if it is not there in that Album, for example, a photo imported from Dropbox but either deleted or move to a different Album in the App, since that photo is not there with in that Album, it will be imported. If the imported photo is present in the Album, it will be skipped in the import process.

App only recognizes, .JPEG, .JPG and .PNG format files to import .

 

Please note all the syncing is within the App’s directory in Dropbox.

***Background process is supported for all the export and import process, after initiating a process you can continue to do something else(outside of the App), while the App completes the process in the background***

What other information is synced?

          App syncs Album description, Album Create Date, Album Sort sequence, this happens during import process, it also syncs photo comments and photo created date(photo taken date).

What about the private albums?

That information(that it’s a private album)  is specific within the device, and is not synced across devices, this is left to the discretion of users. So if you export a private album, it will be imported as non-private album in the other device.

How to sync photos from computer?

***You need to have Dropbox client installed in your computer for this***

You can export photos from computer to any of the sub folders within the App’s respective directory in Dropbox. Now  from the App  in your iDevices you can import photos to the App.

How can I transfer photos exported using free version to paid version?

You can transfer by moving the sub-folders under the free App directory ‘Photo Album – A Smart Organizer’ to paid App directory ‘PhotoAlbum – A Smart Organizer’.

Frequently Asked Questions!

Questions asked about PhotoAlbum or Photo Album With Photo-Editing(Paid & Free Version).

#1 How to import photos into the Album?

You have to tap the ‘Plus Round Green’ button present on each album(from the main screen) to launch the multiple photos picker,  if you are tapping it for the first time, it will ask for location services be enabled(it’s an iOS requirement and App does not access any location data), say yes and it is will open with photos from Camera Roll. You can start importing 250 at a time, into the Album.

For iOS 6.0

Goto device settings, tap ‘Privacy’ under Privacy tap ‘Photos’ and under photos have this flag Privacy->Photos->App Name-> ON . Now the photos picker from the App will be able to load photos from the library.

For iOS version prior to 6.0

Now let’s say you have tapped ‘No’  to location services, picker would load empty or in some cases might crash. So go to ‘device settings’ and enable the location services for the App, look at this screenshot  to see how to enable location services, after enabling reset the App, look at this screenshot to see how to reset the App from multitasking dock.

After these steps launch the App again, and tap the ‘import round green’ button on the album, now you should be able to import photos into Album.

#2 Is there a way to choose a different transition effect or duration time for the Slideshow?

Yes you can choose up to 12 transition styles or duration time from 2 – 30 secs, in the slide show screen tap the ‘Action Item’ at the bottom right corner of the screen. You will have to upgrade to Pro-Version if you are using free version of the App to continue to use all the transition effects.

#3 How to upgrade to Pro-Version from the free version of the App?

Go to settings screen from the main screen by tapping the ‘Wheel’ toolbar item at the top right corner of the screen. In ‘Settings’ screen  tap the ‘Shopping Cart’ toolbar item at the top right corner of the screen, this will present the store screen, you can upgrade to ‘Pro-Version’ from there. Once upgraded App automatically upgrades itself, however we  recommend to reset the App from ‘Multitasking Dock’ and launch again for a clean start.

#4 How to setup the password?

Tap the ‘Wheel’ toolbar item at the top of the Main Screen, this will take to the ‘Settings’ screen, tapping the ‘Set or Change Password’  button will take to the password setting screen, please look at this screen shot for detailed explanation on how to setup the password in the screen.

#5 I haven’t setup the password yet? What should I do when App prompts for password?

If you haven’t setup the password yet, just tap the ‘Done’ button on the keyboard without entering anything, this will let you access the Album.

#7 How to share the photos?

Tap the album from the main screen, this will lead to the photos thumbnails screen, tap the ‘Share Photos’ at the bottom of the screen to share photos.

#8 Is it possible to share the slideshow with music?

It is possible to share the slideshow with slideshow recording, for music in the slideshow – use microphone to record external audio.

#9 I forgot the password, will I lose the photos?

Follow the privacy screen instructions in the App, as fail-safe method to reset password or passcode, if you forget them.

#10 How to rename the Album Title or the Album Memo?

To rename the Album, update the description or to mark the Album as private, tap ‘Edit’ at the top left corner of the main screen, and tap the Album you want to rename, and in the next screen, you can update the Album information.Please look at this screenshot for sequence of screens in the App  to update Album information.

#11 How to reorder or delete  the Album ?

Tap  ‘Edit’ at the top left corner of the main screen , in ‘Edit Mode’  you should be able to delete the album by tapping ‘Red Minus’ button or  reorder Albums by dragging the row reorder control(three lines) at the center right corner of each Album.

#13 How do I get to the slideshow screen?

You get to the photos screen from main album screen, by tapping the album you want to view. In photos screen, look at #1 help tip in this screenshot, this should get you to the slideshow screen.

#14 Where are the photos stored with this App?

Photos are separately stored in the App, it is not stored in the cloud or stored(linked) in the camera roll.

#15  Can I upload slideshow with music to Facebook?

No, slideshows can only be viewed within the App, besides Facebook does not allow uploading copyrighted music –  using any App.

#16 How to  upload photos to Facebook?

You can upload photos to FB, from photos screen – tap share photos at the bottom of the screen, from there it’s self explanatory. Photos are uploaded with the same Album structure, album memo and photo captions, you can upload 25 photos at a time, App will upload photos to the same Album (synchronize) in FB.

 #17 I can’t view slideshows anymore, what should I do?

If you are still using iOS 4.3,  please upgrade your iOS and this will solve this issue.

#18 If I delete the photos in Camera Roll, will photos be deleted in the App?

No, photos in the App will not be deleted, if you delete the photos in the Camera Roll. After importing photos from Camera Roll to the App, it’s saved in the App and is not linked to the Camera Roll.

#19 Can I batch update caption on multiple photos?

No, you can only update caption for photos one at a time.

#20 How can I upload an Album to Facebook with ‘Only Me’ access to the Album?

You can change the settings for the App from Facebook, login to FB – click the ‘Home’ at the top right corner of your screen, then click the ‘App Center’ at the left side of the screen.

From the App Center screen, look at the bottom left corner of the screen , click ‘Your Apps’ –  it will display list of Apps , change the settings of the ‘Photo Album’ App to  ‘Only Me’  for ‘Posts on your behalf’.

This will make all the uploads from the App, to upload  Albums with this access.

#21 Music for the slideshow stopped playing, what should I do?

This does not happen, but if this happens for some reasons, just reset the App from the multitasking dock, and music will play fine for the slideshow.

#22 If I delete an Album in the App, is there a way to restore it back?

If you had exported or backed up the Album to Dropbox, it is possible to restore the Album from Dropbox, for that you should sync folders from App Settings screen, and go into the Album and import from Dropbox, this will restore the Album back in the App. For more help on this please visit Backup & Restore help.

#23 I have upgraded the free version using In-App purchase, should I have to download the  Paid version of the App to sync my photos?

No, you don’t have to buy it twice. One version of the App is good enough to keep all your devices in Sync. Just download the same version on all of your devices, if it’s a Free version, you can restore the previous purchase from the In-App purchase screen.

#24 How to transfer photos from Free version to Paid version of the App?

You can upgrade the Free version to Pro-Version through In-App purchase, upgrading will remove Ads and limits and can keep all of your photos, this way you don’t have to transfer photos from Free -> Paid version.

But if you have downloaded the Paid version from App Store, and wish to transfer photos from Free version, please follow the steps.

  • Export all the albums in the free version to Dropbox using the options provided in the App.
  • Now from the Paid version of the App, login to Dropbox using the ‘Dropbox Folders Sync’ option in the ‘App Settings’ screen.
  • Using dropbox  desktop App on you computer, login to Dropbox and you will see two directories –

     ‘Photo Album – A Smart Organizer’  for free version, ‘PhotoAlbum – A Smart Organizer’ for paid version.

  • Copy the folders under  ‘Photo Album – A Smart Organizer’  to ‘PhotoAlbum – A Smart Organizer’ in Dropbox.
  • Now from the Paid version of the App on your iDevice, use ‘Dropbox Folders Sync’ option in the ‘App Settings’ screen to import folders.Please read the Sync Help for rest of the information.

#25 How to hide private albums?

You should use ‘Security Options’ from the ‘App Settings’ and turn ‘hide private albums’ ON.  This will hide all the albums marked as Private, you can always edit the Albums and mark it as Private anytime.

How to add photos to the album from the albums list?

On the main albums list screen, swipe the album from left to right, this will display a plus sign at the left of the album, you can use this option to add photos to that album from the main screen.

For new empty albums it displays the plus sign by default, it is not necessary to swipe, you can add photos by tapping that plus sign.

How do I transfer the entire app to new iPhone?

1.  You can use “iCloud Sync Process” at the top left corner of Albums list view, after the process is completed, install the App on the new device and perform “iCloud Sync Process” to restore the entire App data. Please make sure to use the same iCloud account on both the devices.

2. You can also sync App to Dropbox backup, and later install App on new iPhone and restore photos from Dropbox backup.

3. You can also transfer your photos from App on old iPhone -> App on new iPhone using ‘Wi-Fi Sync’ from ‘Share Photos’ option in the App.

4. Backup your iPhone or iPad to your computer and restore new iPhone or iPad from your computer backup, this will transfer the entire app to new iPhone.

How to navigate in photos view of the album?

How to save photos/videos to Camera Roll?

In photos view ‘Share Photos’ at the center bottom of the screen will present share photos screen, which has option to ‘Save To Camera Roll’.

What is Photo Tags Accuracy % ?

It is the precision of relevant generated tags related to objects in photo.

The higher the accuracy threshold is, the lower the number of generated tags, in some cases it may miss out few relevant tags.

The lower the accuracy threshold is, the higher the number of generated tags, in some cases it may have a few unrelated tags.

Set the appropriate median accuracy threshold % based on your personal preference.

 

 

How to move photos to other albums?

In move mode, select the photos you want to move,  drag the selected photos and drop on the destination album at the top view when it turns green.  You can select photos with a single tap or a swipe gesture to select multiple photos.

How to search similar photos?

Just tap the photo you want to search similar photos for after selecting  ‘Search Similar Photos’ option at the top right corner of the view.  It will retrieve similar photos(if any) and have it next to the photo you had tapped.

Why similar photos process has limited processing?

It is limited by number of photos, because it will take a very long time to iterate for each photo in the  album.

How search by people works?

Search by people face is most secure and private process performed from within your device. All photo processing is performed within your device.

Trying that option first time for an album may be a bit time consuming to setup, after initial setup it becomes much faster to process search for consequent searches.

How to change options for Slideshows?

Tap the option at the bottom right corner of the toolbar from slideshows view, it will present options screen, where you can change transition style, transition duration time, and animations or none – to not have animations on slideshows.ResizedLikeButton

How to know if slideshow recording is compatible on your device?

Slideshow recording is available in iOS 9 with compatible devices. Recording option will not be visible in slideshow screen if it is not compatible, it is the easiest way to know if it is available on your device or not. ResizedLikeButton

How to live stream slideshows to Facebook or Twitter?

Install Facebook App to live stream slideshows to Facebook, and install Periscope Live Video Streaming App to to live stream slideshows to Twitter timeline. Once installed the option to live stream to Facebook or Twitter will show up in the Live Stream Slideshow options. You should be logged in respective Apps(Facebook or Periscope) to live stream.

How to add facecam and microphone audio?

In the slideshow screen tap the bottom right corner icon and go to ‘Slideshow Options’ screen and turn on Facecam and microphone audio options to add facecam and microphone audio to slideshows recording and live streaming.

Sometimes error messages are persisting when live streaming or recording slideshows in the App, how to fix it?

Restart your device and try again.

 

How to stop live streaming?

Please tap red ‘Live’ button at the top right corner of the slideshows screen to stop live streaming, it takes few seconds after tapping the button to stop live streaming.

How to stop slideshow recording?

Just tap anywhere in the slideshow screen, a single tap stops the slideshow and also the recording, if recording is successful, it opens recording preview screen to edit and save the recorded video.

How to record and stop manual recording?

You will have to turn the ‘Show Recording Control’ -> On — in the slideshow options screen, this will display a red ‘Rec’ button at the top right corner of the slideshow screen. Tap the red ‘Rec’ button to start recording and tap red ‘Stop’ button to stop manual recording. If the recording is successful, it will display video preview screen to edit and save the recorded video.

Privacy Features 

What is Secret Key and how to get Secret Key from App?

Secret key is an unique generated key for each App installation, it can be used to reset password and passcode.

Please make sure to go to App Privacy Screen, and use “Email Secret Key” button to have it emailed to you, store this security key safely to avoid losing access to App if you happen to forget passcode or password.

You can also “Copy Secret Key” from App privacy screen to store it somewhere safe to avoid losing access in the future.

App also prompts with composed email with secret key when logging into App, so you don’t forget to save it somewhere safe.

It is a fail-safe mechanism to avoid losing access to App, please save it somewhere safe and please don’t regret later.

 

How to reset password and passcode in the App?

Use ‘Set or Change Password’ option in the App settings screen, copy and paste Secret Key to reset the password.

Use ‘Forgot’ option in the passcode security screen, copy and paste Secret Key to reset the passcode.

How to make albums become invisible?

Create private albums, then goto ‘Privacy Settings’ from App Settings view, turn ‘Hide Private Albums’ ON in the privacy settings options. This will make private albums become invisible.

When this ‘Hide Private Albums’ options is ON, create a regular new  album and add photos and rename the album to make it private, and it will instantly become invisible.

How to avoid losing access to photos, if you forget password or passcode?

Please save the draft or send  the secret key email composed from App when you login using PIN or password to yourself. Please keep this secret key  in the email safe,  secret key from App is the only way to reset the PIN or password. Please follow the instructions in the email to reset the PIN and Password, otherwise you risk losing access to photos in the App.

You can always goto “Privacy Settings’ from App settings and choose “Email Hint/Key” to have this secret key sent to your email or store it in a safe place,   which you can locate later to reset PIN and Password.

How to turn OFF/ON Touch ID?

You can turn Touch ID OFF or ON from App Settings-> Privacy Settings view.

How to stop launching PIN/Password recovery email composer?

Please save the email draft or have it sent to your secure email, this will stop launching email composer.

iCloud Sync Process

Why I can’t find photos in iCloud with iCloud Sync Process?

You can only see how much data App is storing in iCloud and cannot see anything else.

It is a backup from App saved securely in iCloud, it can only be restored using the iCloud Sync Process from the App. It is stored in private database in iCloud and can only accessed from App when iCloud user logged in from the device.

 

What are the prerequisites to use iCloud Sync Process?

There has to be an active iCloud account logged in from the device, iCloud Drive has to be turned on, and App switch to use iCloud must be turned to have permission to use iCloud. There should be enough storage space in iCloud to backup photos from App.

It will work during free trial period of App and after free trial period, it will only work with active premium subscription.

How do I know if the photos are backed up in iCloud Sync Process?

When photos are backed-up it will have a tiny cloud sign at the bottom right corner of thumbnail image of each backed-up photo. Scroll to your last album to know if all the photos in the App have been backed up.

To make sure restore process works, you can a delete a few photos, and run the iCloud Sync Process, your deleted phots will be restored back from iCloud.

Always make sure to use the same iCloud login account.

What happens if iCloud Sync Process stops before it completes?

You can run the process any number of times you want, it will always start from where it stopped. Also it will only makes necessary changes, like it will only download photos if the photos are not present in App, there will not be any redundant data transfer happen in the process.

How to restore photos with iCloud Sync Process?

Use the same iCloud account that you have used to backup App Photos, run the iCloud sync process, it will restore all the photos back in the App on the same device or to a different device.

For some reasons if the restore process stopped, you can continue to run the process again and it will start restoring from where it stopped before.

How iCloud Sync Process works?

It looks for photos not been backed up and backs up the photos, and on the device looks for photos that is missing and restores it. It does so by smartly identifying what needs to be backed up and what needs to be restored.

There is no redundant data transfer happens with this process. You must use the same iCloud account for backup and restore to work.

Is it possible to keep multiple devices up to date with Sync?

Yes it is possible to use any number of devices to sync with the same iCloud account login. All devices will be kept up to date  without any redundant data transfer happening with this process. Any new photo added in one of the devices will be available on rest of the devices with this process.

How to turn Background Automatic Sync On?

Goto App settings screen and you will find option to turn “Background Automatic Sync” On under iCloud Sync Process. After you turn it on, sync process will be scheduled to run at the optimal time in App background as appropriate by the iOS system. It is triggered by the system mostly when the device is being charged and device is connected to internet.

This process is available during free trial period , after free trial period it will need active premium subscription to be available.

What is Only WiFi Sync?

Because this is data intensive transfer operation over internet, if you turn this option ON from App settings screen, sync process will only work when device is connected to WiFi at home or office and will not use mobile data.

If this option is turned OFF sync process will also work on mobile data. By default this option is turned OFF and needs to be turned ON from App settings screen.

How to sync between two devices?

Sync happens automatically when the device is plugged in, mostly in the night time. You can also manually run the sync  process anytime by using the cloud icon(top-left corner) in the albums view. Once the sync is completed, use the same iCloud account in the next device, and manually run the iCloud sync process or let the automatic process run in the night time. This will keep both the devices synced. You can also sync with multiple devices using the same process.

Safe Share Album

How to safe share photo album?

Option to safe share photo album is in ‘share Photos’ view – ‘Safe Share’. Album must be synced in iCloud with at least a single photo in the album.

In the safe share view tap “Share With More People” option to invite users, you can only invite users by ‘iMessage’ or ‘Mail’ either by phone number or by email, it should be a valid iCloud active account, email should be actively logged in iCloud in their respective iOS device. All shares can only be accessed on iOS device.

Once invited this view will show a list of users you have invited, you can always ‘Remove Access’ to the user or ‘Stop Sharing’ completely.  Revoking permission only impacts or works if the user had not already dowloaded the photos in the App.

By default the option will be to share with “Only invited people”, do not change this option to “Anyone can”, this will make private share into public share, public shares can be accessed by anyone with this link. Private shares can only accessed by invited people on this view’s list.

How to download safe shared albums in recipient’s device?

If someone has invited you with the link, clicking the link will ask you to download the App if it is not already installed on your device. Open the App to do initial setup. After setting up, click the link sent to you again.

Link will also prompt you to ask if you want to join the share, you should say yes,   then it will launch the App and download the safe shared album.

Can safe shared album be shared or saved in recipients device?

Photos in safe shared albums in recipients App, cannot be shared or saved to the recipients device,  iCloud sync process will ignore all safe shared albums and will not be uploaded to iCloud in the recipients App.

What happens if someone tries to screenshot or screen record photos in safe shared album in recipient’s App?

If someone tries to screenshot a photo in safe shared album in recipient’s App, App will immediately  delete all safe shared albums, and it cannot be downloaded again.

Screen recording photos in the safe shared albums can only record blank screens.

How long safe shared album will be accessible in the recipient’s App?

It will be accessible for 24 hrs to 36 hrs from the time album download in recipients App. App scheduler will wake up and delete all safe shared albums after 24 hrs based on when it was downloaded in recipient’s App.

Please don’t screenshot any photo in the safe shared albums from recipient’s App, it will delete all the safe shared albums in the recipient’s App and it cannot be downloaded again.

What happens if I delete or erase the App?

Because all the photos are stored in the local device, it will Delete all the photos and albums stored in the App. Please Do Not delete to avoid losing access to all your photos.

You can avoid losing photos when deleting the App by backing up your data in Dropbox(cloud service) with Dropbox Export, Import and Sync options from the App.
